Updated description moved here… because tumblr is tumblr. [I think the links are working now, but otherwise the major tags are there below for navigation.]
As far as personal information goes, I’m Elizabeth, I’m nearing 40, I’m Hungarian.
As far as personal interaction goes: I don’t follow back everyone, sorry; but I rarely unfollow (unless it was an accidental follow, I’m sorry about that too); however, it’s not a problem if you unfollow me. I’m… askable I guess, I’m just terrible with answering them. Communication, especially, tumbr-specific communication is not my forte. In about 80% of cases, my likes should be attributed to your tags. Also: I’m guilty of overtagging. (My icon is still the amazing KT Tunstall in more than one ways.)
The “Open in App” button was out there to taunt you. it sends you to the app store even though you already own the app and it will never let you see the post on your phone browser. they do this because they hate yoy
I’m crying. Here’s a photo of a sailor from the Götheborg watching over the little sailboat in tow:
From the story:
We repeatedly emphasized that we were aboard a small 8-meter sailboat, but the response was the same each time: “We are a 50-meter three-masted sailboat, and we offer our assistance in towing you to Paimpol.” We were perplexed by the size difference between our two boats, as we feared being towed by a boat that was too large and at too fast a speed that could damage our boat.
The arrival of the Götheborg on the scene was rapid and surprising, as we did not expect to see a merchant ship from the East India Company of the XVIII century. This moment was very strange, and we wondered if we were dreaming. Where were we? What time period was it? The Götheborg approached very close to us to throw the line and pass a large rope. The mooring went well, and our destinies were linked for very long hours, during which we shared the same radio frequency to communicate with each other.
The crew of the Götheborg showed great professionalism and kindness towards us. They adapted their speed to the size of our boat and the weather conditions. We felt accompanied by very professional sailors. Every hour, the officer on duty of the Götheborg called us to ensure everything was going well.[…]
This adventure, very real, was an incredible experience for us. We were extremely lucky to cross paths with the Götheborg by chance and especially to meet such a caring crew.
Dear commander and crew of the Götheborg, your kindness, and generosity have shown that your ship is much more than just a boat. It embodies the noblest values of the sea, and we are honored to have had the chance to cross your path and benefit from your help.
“Our destinies were linked for very long hours” is just knocking me out.
We’ve streamlined our navigation in a way that will make it much easier for new and infrequent users to level up their experience here. Thanks to everyone who offered feedback, it was a huge help in refining it!
The Activity redesign is now live in the Android and iOS apps! It should be much easier to identify unread notifications, as well as notifications from your treasured mutuals and blogs you follow.
🛠 Fixed
Blogs that you have recently refollowed after unfollowing will no longer be hidden from your Dashboard. If this has happened to you, please unfollow and refollow the blog(s) in question one more time.
If you have allowed mature content, you’ll no longer be warned when visiting a blog that contains mature content.
Clicking elements of a reblog’s header will now take you to the same places in the iOS app as they do in the Android app and on web.
The year timestamp has returned to Messages for items that are over a year old.
On web, we had some brief issues on Wednesday with blog information (such as avatars and the follow button), but they’ve been fixed.

Is there something you planned to do before you got trapped in the endless tumblr scroll?
Are you yelling at yourself to get up and do the thing, but you can’t, because you’re trapped in the endless tumblr scroll?
Consider this your save point.
Put tumblr down, stand up, stretch, and go do the thing you planned to do. Future you will be incredibly grateful.

I need y’all to know that you’re doing amazing, and I’m so glad that I was able to help you break out of a procrastination loop you did not want to be stuck in.
“Stop being funnier than me on my own post” is one of my favorite healthy tumblrisms, along with things like “hang on lemme look that up…yeah this is funny” and explicit tone indicators (positive). Like yeah let’s build a world where we playfully format healthy interactions. You made a post and you wanted to be the star but damn, you’ve really gotta hand it to this other person for their really funny addition, so here’s the internet equivalent of giving someone a friendly punch on the shoulder while making sure they know they got a good grade in social interaction
